It is the first time that the Limassol Marina will dress up for the Carnival celebrations, inviting everyone to an entertaining 12-day programme, listing numerous festive events that will enhance the city’s Carnival tradition.

The official programme of the Limassol Municipality will start from the Limassol Marina on the 9^th of February at 19:30, with the Majorettes and the Ariones Choir who will march in front of the square, through the dining and shopping area of the Marina. The Mayor of Limassol will then inaugurate the "Limassol Carnival 2014” Pancyprian Photographic Competition and Exhibition. The photo exhibition will remain open until the 12^th of February and the entrance will be free.

On Friday, the 13th of February at 21:00, the Funraising Charity Organisation will celebrate carnival at the ΤΡΑΚΑΣΟΛ Cultural Centre with “The Horror Charity Carnival Madness” theme party. A carni-valentine party will also be organised on Saturday, the 14^th of February at 21:00, by Diastasis Cultural Association and Dionysos Cultural and Dancing Group.

The celebrations at the Limassol Marina will continue on the 16^th of February at 19:30 at the ΤΡΑΚΑΣΟΛ Cultural Centre, with an honorary ceremony for the five Limassolians who have been Kings or Queens of the carnival from 2008 until 2012, accompanied by the Quartette Choir of Limassol, its serenades and carnival songs. The entrance to the event is free.

The Carnival melodies will also sound on the 17th of February where numerous groups of serenaders (Kantadoroi) will entertain the crowd at the main Square of the Limassol Marina. The event starts at 19:30.

The Carnival spirit will culminate with the closing carnival ball on the 21^st of February, at 21:00, at the ΤΡΑΚΑΣΟΛ Cultural Centre with DJs Mighty Scoop, Pueblo Franco and Salty Balls.

It is also worth mentioning that throughout the festivities, the restaurants and shops of the Limassol Marina will also join the carnival rhythm, adding more fun and entertainment to the cheerful celebrations.
