As part of World Autism Awareness Day, every year landmark buildings around the world, like the Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids of Egypt, the Tower of Pisa, the statue of Christ in Brazil, Niagara Falls etc. are lit up in blue, the colour of autism, to raise public awareness for the syndrome.

As part of the awareness campaign, various buildings and monuments in Cyprus will be joining the cause on Sunday 2nd of April 2017 with a march for pedestrians, bicycles and cars taking place in Limassol, Nicosia and Paphos. 

In Limassol, the march will begin at the Limassol Municipality at 19:00 and will end at the Limassol Marina Square at 19:30. The First Lady, Mrs Andri Anastasiadi, the Limassol Mayor, Mr Nicos Nicolaides and the President of the Cyprus Autistic Association, Mrs Maria Kleanthous, will be there leading the event and strengthening awareness among the local community.
