Light It Up Blue
2nd April
On the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day, hundreds of iconic buildings and landmarks across the globe will light up blue on Monday 2nd April, from the Empire Building to the Niagara Falls. In an attempt to raise awareness and increase acceptance of people with autism in Cyprus, the Cyprus Autistic Association organises on the same day a march for pedestrians, bicycles and cars in Limassol, Nicosia and Paphos. In our city, the march will begin at Limassol Municipality at 19:00 and will end at Limassol Marina.

Dozens of emblematic buildings across Cyprus will also join the cause of this worldwide campaign. In the heart of the city, Limassol Marina will light up blue in honour of this day, along with other iconic buildings and monuments across the island such as the Ministries of Labour and Health, the Town Halls of Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos, the island’s medieval castles, museums and universities.

The event will be attended by the First Lady of the Republic of Cyprus, Mrs Andri Anastasiades, the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Nicolaides and the President of Cyprus Autistic Association. Also, the event is sponsored by Puzzle Group of Companies.
