Organised by Famagusta Nautical Club, the Optimist World Championships 2018 will be taking place this year at Limassol Marina from the 27th of August to the 6th of September. For this major sailing event, the city of Limassol was selected to host some of the world’s best junior optimist athletes, who will be competing in Limassol Bay for the Beacon Challenge Cup - awarded to the best placed competitor - and other prizes.
