Limassol Boat Show 2022
Unprecedented success and international recognition
For yet another year, Limassol Boat Show 2022 achieved unprecedented success, hosting more than 30,000 visitors and over 100 exhibitors in various areas across Limassol Marina. The largest boat show in the Eastern Mediterranean region, garnered international attention by attracting boating enthusiasts and journalists from across the globe with record attendance, strengthening Cyprus position as a world-renowned yachting destination.

Held from 14th to 16th October 2022, this year’s event showcased new and exciting exhibition spaces and exclusive industry products and services. Visitors had the opportunity to discover the latest in yachting, water sports, leisure fishing and diving; attend informative seminars, product presentations, activities and demonstrations, and learn more about maritime environmental practises. Even with unfavourable weather conditions, from the 30,000 visitors, over 10,000 people visited the VIP yachts area, with 40% of the attendees coming from Cyprus and 60% from abroad, primarily from Russia, the United Kingdom, Israel, Ukraine, and other countries across Europe and Middle East. Also noteworthy was the conclusion of several commercial agreements over the course of the three days, demonstrating the show’s important contribution to the commercial development and growth of the industry.

Enriching the event was the spectacular display of luxury yachts by eighty leading companies from Cyprus, Greece, England, Italy, Israel, and Finland. Presented for the first time in the Eastern Mediterranean, this exclusive selection of vessels exceeded €70 million, with their beautifully stylish exterior designs and exquisite interiors captivating the attention of all visitors. In addition, a unique collection of luxury vehicles was also exhibited by E-Cars Cyprus, the show’s Platinum Sponsor. Visitors were able to experience for the first time in Cyprus a range of supercars together with 2023 car reveals, including the likes of the Maserati Grecale and the Maserati MC20.

The three-day exhibition program was further elevated by a VIP Superyacht Charity Fashion Show which gathered select guests and showcased the talents of acclaimed Cypriot designer Calia Monogiou and her talented daughter Athena, with their new designs for spring-summer 2023.

Following the incredible outcome of this year’s show, the director of the co-organising company Dacor Advertising & Media Ltd, Mr. Aristos Aristidou, stated that, "the Limassol Boat Show has undoubtedly become a highly-anticipated event that has succeeded in establishing Limassol as a pivotal yachting destination in the wider region which continues to attain international recognition thanks to its remarkable commercial achievements. Together with our exhibitors and sponsors, we have set the bar high with a maritime exhibition that stands equal to the calibre of other such events in Europe. Also noteworthy is the level of commercial interest and transactions concluded during the show, as indicated by most exhibitors”.

Limassol Marina’s General Manager, Mr. Nikiforos Pampakas, added: "It is with great pleasure and pride that Limassol Marina co-organized and hosted the Limassol Boat Show for the sixth year. Returning on a bigger scale, more revitalised and with record attendance, are all indicative of this significance of this exhibition, both for our island and for the wider Eastern Mediterranean region. The highest of standards have undoubtedly been set by the organisers and all those involved, with the result that this year's exhibition exceeded all expectations."
