World Environment Day at Limassol Marina

Limassol Marina is excited to be hosting a World Environment Day event on Sunday, 6 June 2021, which aims to educate and spread environmental awareness to visitors to the Marina as well as to the region’s wider yachting community, based on the global zero waste principles of Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! 
 
The event will begin with a “Clean the beach with your SUP” (stand up paddle) initiative at Limassol Marina’s Peninsula Beach at 08:00, which will be open to superyacht crew and the general public. 
 
A wide variety of fun, informative and interactive activities will be held later in the day at Limassol Marina Square, from 17:00 – 20:00. This includes a live art installation titled the Seal, by an Environmentalist Artist Christos (Edmont) and Iphigenia (IPH House of Arts), and several other live environmental exhibits such as Recycle Bin Stations, Recycle Paper Procedure and Reuse Fabric Station. Entertainment at the event will include a live link by Radio Proto from 17:00 – 19:00, after which a live band will perform until 20:00.
