AbleBook, a leading online platform in Cyprus providing services and information to people with disabilities and vulnerable groups across the island, will be hosting an informative event at Limassol Marina, on 23rd October, from 15:00 to 18:00. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those with disabilities and to discuss how the AbleBook application significantly contributes to a more accessible society for all.

The event will be attended by members of various local organisations representing groups affected by different disabilities, sharing with the visitors the difficulties faced by each group in order to enhance the discussion and suggest solutions that will contribute to the integration of the disabled within the society. During the event, activities mimicking movement and accessibility difficulties will also take place to highlight the challenges for a person with a disability to move when access is restricted or hindered. Radio Proto will also be present with a live link from 16:00.

Organisations participating on the day include the Pancyprian Association of Multiple Sclerosis, Pancyprian Association for People with Autism, the Cyprus ADHD Association, I exist – Training and rehabilitation center, ForPeopleTM, the All-Cyprus Organization for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons of Limassol, and the Association of Myopaths of Cyprus.
