Limassol Marina was chosen as the exclusive location for Sunseeker Cyprus. Read more about the new shop opening in an interview with Richard Tilley.

Why was Limassol Marina selected as the exclusive location of this new branch of operations?

The new marina creates a great opportunity for Sunseeker motor yacht sales in Cyprus. The tourism and influx of new business opportunities is to be taken advantage of. The Limassol Marina project has invested in much promotion of creating a new and upcoming destination within a smart and marina focused area of Limassol City. Limassol Marina has been extremely well-received both locally and internationally, and is deemed a significant step towards the development of Cyprus’ luxury maritime offering. We couldn’t agree more. We always wish to have the Sunseeker brand at the forefront of our new and existing owners’ minds within the motor yacht industry. We are forward thinking business and create future motor yachts sales in locations around the world. The Limassol project creates a great platform for us and allows us the opportunity to showcase the Sunseeker product within a wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere and wonderful facilities in the marina.

What are your projections for the Limassol Sunseeker office?

This is a new office location for us and creating the Sunseeker Cyprus brand is to our advantage within the area. We are expecting new boat orders in the next year as well as brokerage sales and listings. Our services on the island of Cyprus include new boat sales, brokerage, charter, guardinage, yacht management and technical support and after-sales. We are hoping to attract existing boat owners in Limassol with the Sunseeker lifestyle and new product offering which is readily available within the current motor yacht range from 40ft-155ft.

What more could be done so as to influence the development of the yachting sector on the island?

Limassol, due to the development in the last 10 years is a first, so further developments of similar services and facilities including larger yacht moorings will encourage further marine activity in other areas of Cyprus. The current in marina developments is to create a local town which encompasses every need, service and requirement for a yacht crew, yacht itself and boat owners. This includes designer brands, local cultural activities and restaurant offerings.

Finally, please tell me a little about the expansion strategy of Sunseeker London Group, and any new projects it may have on the horizon.

Sunseeker London is a large group of companies encompassing sales and service offices for the Sunseeker product throughout the UK, Europe, Mediterranean and Northern Africa. The objective in expanding the business is to help increase sales of Sunseeker motor yachts and to do so having a marina located office, alongside product to show and sell creates a good sales platform and opportunity for us. We are always on the lookout for new ideas, marketing strategy and projects to help create more opportunity for the group and hearing about Limassol and working with Limassol Marina for some years before our office opening on site is an exciting development for us.
