The 1st Euro-Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition 2016 will take place at Limassol Marina’s ΤΡΑΚΑΣΟΛ Cultural Centre from the 14th -16th of April. The Conference will focus on “Smart Urban Development and Blue Growth opportunities for Cities, Communities and Islands in the Mediterranean Basin” attracting important speakers and participants from Europe, the United States and other countries. 

Attempting to highlight approaches, solutions and technologies for cities and island communities in the Mediterranean region, the conference will presents smart developments and products, elaborating ideas for the creation of partnerships, exploring potential funding from forthcoming European calls and addressing issues that are relevant to local authorities (for example, telecommunications, transport and tourism) identifying interests related to the issues of smart cities and blue growth.

The conference is organised by the Smart Cities Mediterranean Cluster (SMART-MED) in cooperation with the National Technical University of Athens, the KIOS Research Center of the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus University of Technology while the main sponsor is Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA).
