Date

6th May 2026

The Cyprus Coastal Regatta 2026 was successfully completed, concluding with the prize-giving ceremony held at Limassol Marina on Saturday 2nd May. The event drew many participants, visitors, and sailing enthusiasts.

The race took place on Friday, 1st May, following a sea route starting from Limassol Marina. The course covered approximately 30 nautical miles, passing near Akrotiri and Mari, before finishing at Limassol Marina. The event was organised in collaboration between Limassol Marina and F&S Marinas.

A total of 11 nationalities took part in the race, including participants from Cyprus, Germany, Israel, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, and Estonia, highlighting the strong international character of the event.

The awards ceremony took place at Limassol Marina, with speeches by Mr. Nikiforos Pampakas, General Manager of Limassol Marina and Mr. Kleanthis Hadjisoteriou, organiser of the Cyprus Coastal Regatta.

Around 30 boats participated in the race, offering a spectacular sight for sailing enthusiasts. The winners in the Line Honors category were: Typhoon (1st place), Juliet (2nd place), and Delta (3rd place). In the ORC Class A category: Typhoon (1st place), Svetlana (2nd place), and Unica (3rd place). In the ORC Class B category: First Light (1st place), Luna Rossa (2nd place), and Legendary (3rd place). In the Cruising Class A category: Qulini (1st place), Celeste (2nd place), and Oxy (3rd place). In the Cruising Class B category: Blueberry (1st place), Fourplay (2nd place), and Raido (3rd place). And in the Sports Boat Class category: Juliet (1st place), Delta (2nd place), and Charlie (3rd place).

The main goal of the Cyprus Coastal Regatta is to strengthen local sailing, while also laying the groundwork for a future international event. In its initial phase, the Regatta primarily targets local sailors but envisions evolving into a globally recognised event starting from Latchi and ending in Famagusta District, covering the island’s entire free coastline. The Cyprus Coastal Regatta is not just a top-tier sailing event, but also a significant step toward enhancing cooperation between marinas and promoting Cyprus as a premier sailing destination.
