Raising funds for the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society, at the Charity Tuna Fishing Competition.

Fishing enthusiasts from across the island gathered for a fun day of fishing and lively activities, all in the name of charity. The 16th annual Charity Tuna Fishing Competition was held on Sunday 20th July 2025, sponsored by Limassol Marina and organised by Dacor Advertising and Media, S.I.S.E.A.L and the Cyprus Yachting Magazine ‘To Psarema & Ta Mystika Tou’, in support of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.

A total of 24 tunas were caught by 24 crews which were later auctioned to the people in attendance, raising an amount of €4,140 which was donated to the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.

The competition was followed by a series of events for participants and visitors, including a live sushi-making demonstration, a charitable auctioning of the caught tuna, and a prize draw for the participants. 

This annual event is held in memory of the magazine’s beloved contributors, Christos Aristidou, Chrysanthos Chrysanthou, Nakis Christodoulou, Haris Soleas and Antonis Diamantides.
